Hi everyone! i am Eduardo, and i will tell you a little bit of my self. I was born in the fourth region, in Coquimbo, where my father's family lives. There i studied at an Adventist school and, when my parents separeted, my mother, sister and me went to live with my grandparents in Chillán. In this city we continue until octave grade at the Adventist school, thing is funny because mi family is catholic but in practice laic. Later i studied at Creación school and decided to study History. I took two year of the career but i couldn't finish it and finaly in 2016 i begin my actual career: Cine and Television. Actually i live in Santiago and like me very much, but my heart and mind always return to Chillán and el campo of my aunt, where the people who i love so much wait me every time i comeback.
As i mentioned in a previous post, since last 4 years i've been studying Cine and Television and my opinion about it gradually change to be a negative one. Personally i think the mainstream film and tv productions are deeply aligned with ideology and from my point of view authorial and experimental films could have good intentions but many times doesn't care about his real impact in distribution terms, so in many times are production reserved to limited and specialized public, a segment in the big picture of market. This argument is particularly true to national film production sphere and there is a few written works about the topic. Now, i think there is some ways where my major can have a positive impact. For example, many contemporany cultural changes was been supported by film and television programs, maybe not in radical ways, but with a big impact. Anyway, now i am trying to make my way in cinemagoing studies and this option only was possible thanks this career.

Coquimbo is a cradle of pirates. Do you have a pirate or sailor in the family?
